Christine Liles Carter, 82, of Roanoke Rapids died Tuesday, February 16, 2016.

Christine was born in Roanoke Rapids, daughter of the late Albert Ray and Mary Lee Smith Organ. She was also preceded in death by her husband Billy Ray Carter.

She is survived by her son, Greg Liles and his wife Kay of Littleton; her granddaughters, Lori Ann Liles Cain of Lewiston, and Lynley Faith Liles of Littleton; her brother, Dr. Dennis Wayne Organ of Bloomington, Indiana; her niece, Robin Brewer Dickens and her husband Buck of Enfield; her nephews, Kim Brewer and his wife Barbara, Tim Brewer and his wife Lucille, and Eric Brewer and his wife Leah, all of Roanoke Rapids.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Askew Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. D. A. Leonard officiating.

Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
